EVENT STYLING AND DECOR

Blog

Let's go to the beach!

We couldn’t have been more thrilled when Sofia approach us to help her with her birthday celebration by the ocean, as having picnics on the beach is very high on our list of favorite summer activities!

She envisioned a very simple setting for herself and the family that would blend in with the surroundings of the Smathers Beach, Key West

We’ve set up a low solid wood table, decorated with natural linen, coral, shells and snacks; focusing on earthy tones and different textures.

Just a few tips on making the time by the beach enjoyable and Instagram-worthy.

Plan your snacks. Some beaches don’t allow fire, so when a barbecue is not an option - bring fruits, veggies, cheese, crackers, nuts and olives.

Cloth napkins will reduce the impact on the environment and add a little more class to the table.

Beach blanket is a must as well as a few pillows to avoid sitting directly on the sand.

The few hours right before the sunset are the most pleasant - the light is softer and the beach is quieter. Less chance of a sunburn when the sun goes down, but bring some sunscreen and a bug repellant just in case.

To minimize the litter and waste at the end of the day - invest in a cute picnic basket with the lightweight utensils and some quality plates.

And don’t forget to take lots of pictures!

Cheers!
